Garakji, Stacking Silver Rings

$480.00

My wife is Korean American and as a slight departure from our other designs, we decided to delve into a bit of Korean history and tradition.

The Garakji Stacking Rings are a set of two stacking rings worn traditionally by married women in Korea that symbolize the Confucian idea of harmony and oneness between a wife and her husband.

Garakji literally translates to “a pair of big rings”. As the rings are rather wide, especially when worn stacked together, we recommend ordering 1-1.5 sizes larger than a traditional snug fit. This allows for the rings to move and not constrict the finger when using ones hand.

Garakji rings are sometimes tied together with silk thread. Coral, Yellow, or Black silk thread are available options.

Rings are made to order and are priced as a pair. (Single rings are $260.00 and available on request.) Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.
